I ask this question to myself every single day.
I woke up one day and realized I could sing. From that day, music became half of my life and it would be something I would constantly fight for not to lose. When you are passionate with something, the possibilities are infinite and the way things can be created over it are spectacular. That’s when I realized i just had to let it happen, let creativity overflow.
After a few years I decided to let fashion interfere and I graduated in Fashion Design in Brazil. However, I always made sure I would combine music and fashion at all times and maybe create something different out of it. As I was living this chapter, I also started my role as a manager for an accessories company, having to develop not only great ideas but my business skills and leadership. I learned how to inspire a work place, increase selling and take responsibility for any decision made.
I moved to London in 2017 and decided I wanted to combine all my dreams and skills for one purpose and that it would probably be a hard task, but i was ready to search. Discovering the ‘Managing in the Creative Economy’ course at Kingston University was the best thing that happened to me this year. During the welcoming week I realized how inspiring this opportunity is going to be and how excited I am to develop my knowledge and discover a new world of possibilities.
I am now a manager, singer and a Masters student and here I will share my new experiences during the course.
Hope you enjoy it!
